Welcome to Quilt Elegance!
Today is my entry into blogging. It is a beautiful, sunny Northern California day. I just came back from a quick walk with Fantasia. Actually she did the walking and I rolled along in my power wheelchair. I get sunshine and Fantasia gets exercise.
Fantasia is a wonder. She is a 5 year old elegant yellow Labrador retriever. She recently retired from her first career as a breeder for Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael, CA. She is the proud mama of 31 potential guide dogs from 4 litters.
Now she is my helper and assistant. She is quite good at picking up things from the floor, not eating them and bringing them to me. Unless it is food – not so good at retrieving! She is also good at keeping one of her puppies in line. Africa is from her 2nd litter and is my husband, Michael’s guide dog.
To round out the household Hingson, we have Roselle, hero guide dog now retired, scaredy cat, Sherlock and my wonderful husband of 27 years, Michael.
My day is intertwined with dog walking, “Quick Book-ing” for my husband’s company and quilting! I invite you back to my next posting for more about the quilting.
